We designed the program for 8 to 12-year-olds because this is when long-term, healthy money management habits begin to form. During this age period, children are beginning to develop and recognize their own individual cognitive thoughts, feelings, and self-worth associated with and towards money. At this critical stage of development, children have an unlimited potential to learn how to think and feel about money, and how to earn, build, manage, and enjoy it for a lifetime free of guilt and personal conflict.

Financial literacy is not taught in the standardized curriculum at the majority of public and private schools.  Not only does our program teach sound financial concepts, but it also teaches kids how to think about money and how their emotions impact their financial decisions. We have taken great care to design a curriculum that seamlessly combines the practical with the psychological aspects of money.

Your child can simply come ready to learn and have fun without any additional preparation. We supply all the necessary teaching and learning materials, including an interactive Fun Book designed for use during classes.

Our program comprises four modules, each containing eight 60-minute lessons filled with interactive tools, games, and activities. These lessons follow a progressive structure, introducing, reinforcing, and expanding on foundational concepts. While each module is a complete learning unit and can be taught independently or consecutively, we recommend starting with Module 1. This initial module lays the groundwork for money management principles and introduces the core philosophies integral to our program. Starting here ensures that children build a solid understanding of essential financial concepts before progressing to more advanced topics covered in subsequent modules. This sequential approach supports their ability to excel, meet learning goals, and achieve important milestones within the MM4K program.
